Abilities:

He has his abilities almost perfected, he has had them for twenty-three years after all, and he works on them daily. His animals are cat, wolf, and bear, and he can use all of the abilities almost perfectly. The cat allows him to see and hear extremely well, as well as jump pretty high and far when he needs to. The cat also allows for extraordinary hand-eye coordination, which comes in handy in fights as well as sports. He can see and hear clearly (when he focuses, not constantly) up to two city blocks away. He can easily jump from one city rooftop to another, and can jump a ten feet tall fence with out a sweat, he does so frequently when chasing run away orphans.

The wolf allows for even better hearing, as well as speed and endurance and smell. He can smell things from a great distance, he can be outside with the kid's and smell what the cooks are cooking up on the other side of campus. He can run for miles at a time without breaking a sweat, and he can run almost faster than the eye can see. When he reaches top speed, all the untrained human eye can see is a blur move by but by the time they blink he is long gone. Most humans attribute it to the wind or their imagination, only other DarkLightians recognize it to be a person.

The bear allows him great strength and stamina. He is almost impossible to tire, even once he gets hit a few times. His strength is incredible, he can lift a car with one hand when he wants to, and he uses his strength mostly to subdue the runaways and hold them down. He has to be careful though, because if one of them doesn't have the same ability he can easily crush them.

who you really are...
Personality:

Daniel, at first glance, is very intimidating. Just is shear size is enough to make most students tremble, add that to his multiple tattoos that line his arm and back, and he just looks like a force to be reckoned with. His muscles are huge on account of both his abilities, and his constant working out. Most of the new orphans fear him until they start talking, and then most all of them like him, girls especially always seem to have a crush on him.
Daniel is definitely a social butterfly. He loves talking with the orphans and considers them all his friends and equals. He is also extremely protective of all of them, especially his "favorites" or the younger ones. He is very athletic and he takes part in all of the student's games and he also helps them a lot in their training excercises.
For the most part, he loves his job. He loves spending time with the kids and helping them become everything that they are meant to become, but he doesn't like being the forceful guy when he has to lay down the law. As the security guard at the school, he has to track down any kids who try to escape, and he has to stop them once he finds them. For those moments he can't let his personal feelings get in the way, and sometimes he has to force himself to act the way he knows he has to. But he does his job, and he does it well.

Likes:

' Writing - He keeps journal that he writes in almost daily. In it he tells his dealings with the kids, as well as his thoughts about things going on in the school.
' Sports - Any time the kids get together a game of any sort he is always involved.
' Training - He likes improving his skills as well as helping the kids improve their own. Although sometimes it comes back to bite him in the ass.
' Alone Time - He loves hanging with the kids, but sometimes he likes to spend time on his own. Plus he has to for work.
' Music. - He isn't "supposed" to have it with him while he is working, but that doesn't stop him from carrying his mp3 player around most anywhere. He also recently took up the Bass Guitar and he is enjoying that.

Dislikes: at least 5

' Having to be the bad guy, although he has to fairly regularly at work.
' Having to "hunt" his friends if they try to escape.
' Working out - But he has to in order to keep in shape so he can lay down the law when it comes time, because of the work outs he is very muscular.
' Junk Food - Although he likes something sweet every once in a while, he doesn't like to chow down on chips and cookies.
' Country Music - The lyrics always make him sad, most of the time.

Strengths: at least 3

' His Body - He is very muscular, so his body is definitely a strength of his. He can handle any student, even WITH their abilities.
' His Mind - He is very good at reading people, so he can usually predict when someone is going to try to escape, and he can put a stop to it.
' His Energy - Even without abilities, he has very good stamina and endurance, so he can keep going.

Weaknesses: at least 3

' His Heart - He gets too attached the kids, and it makes it hard for him to do his job sometimes because he doesn't want them to be angry with him. But at the same time, he knows he has to do it.
' His Temper - He doesn't get mad often, only when one of the kids tries to escape not always even then. But when he does get angry he doesn't always have very good control over himself.
' He likes picking on the kids, sometimes too much, and he hurts their feelings every once in a while, but he always makes it right.

Fears: at least two

' Going to far when keeping a kid from escaping. If he ever hurt one of them he would feel absolutely horrible.
' Someone attacking the orphanage. The orphanage has its enemies, and he knows that if there ever was an attack that all the orphans would have to help to defend it.

Goals:
' To keep all the kids in the school safe and happy if he can.
' To become a good bassist.

Siblings: None that he knows of.
History:

His parents were pretty awesome. He lived with them until he was eighteen, and they were the best parents he could have asked for. They took him to the park on the weekends, read him bedtime stories, and made chocolate chip cookies with him. They were basically everything you imagine when you think about the "perfect parents" But one thing Daniel didn't understand that the time, his father worked for the Orphanage, which, up until the year or so before his birth, was still testing the product. His father was the head scientist, and lead the research and testing, often testing on himself or his wife. They were the first ones to get the abilities.

When Daniel was born, they had finally perfected the serum, and could give their son whatever abilities they desired. So they began researching and planning. They wanted him to be strong, and fast. They wanted him to have the eye sight and hearing of a hawk, and they wanted him to be capable of working for long periods of time. They wanted him to be safe. When he was three they finally injected him with his own special cocktail, and they trained with him everyday, helping him to develop his skills.

Because his parents were the main doctors on site, he pretty much grew up in the orphanage, even though they lived a few miles away. He spent a lot of time with the orphans, and he became friends with almost all of them. At the age of 18 he became a security guard, and quickly moved up the ranks until he was at the top of the food chain, at least as far as security guards go. His parents are retired now, and he still goes to visit them all the time.
